Here are your candidates for the H-T’s girls’ basketball Player of the Week:

Kayla Rogers, Eastern Greene

Our defending player of the week had 14 points, 19 rebounds and five blocks against Trinity Lutheran.

Jasmine Carter, Edgewood

Carter pulled down a double-double in a loss to Bloomfield, with 17 points and 13 rebounds. She provided six points and five boards in a win over Brown County later in the week.

Zaine Bucy, Owen Valley

The Patriots’ senior had 15 points, six rebounds and four steals in a tough loss to Cloverdale.

Tanner Chapman, Brown County

While the Eagles fell to Edgewood, Chapman led her team with 15 points against the Mustangs.

Annie Gillard, Bloomington South

Gillard almost pulled off a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds against Southport.

  1. What about Sarah Waldo? The Lighthouse Gaurd scored 26 points had 8 rebounds, 4 steals and only 1 turnover while shooting over 50% from the field. It’s a shame that this great student athelete doesn’t even get a whiff of this award.
